In surprising developments, Warner Bros. has cancelled Wonder Woman, as well as a rumoured Superman title that was also in development. Not only that, but they’ve decided to completely close F.E.A.R. developer, Monolith Productions, who were working on said Wonder Woman game.
Warner Bros. has also shuttered Player First Games, who were responsible for the mascot brawler, MultiVersus, which underperformed and is also ending online play. Not just them either. Warner Bros. San Diego is the third of the three studios who received closure and termination notices today.
In a statement, WB representatives stated that they “had to make difficult decisions,” and went on to say that this is part of a restructuring plan. They want to focus on big properties like Harry Potter and Batman, after disappointing results with recent releases like Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League.
Eggplante wishes those who lost their jobs today the best.
