Dead Space devs talk creating uniquely scary atmosphere

In a new blog post, the folks behind the upcoming and much anticipated Dead Space remake dish on creating atmosphere. To be more detailed, they wrote about creating atmosphere and experiences that will be unique to each player.

Titled “The Intensity Director,” the post highlights the importance of atmosphere, especially in a horror game, and how the devs want to keep players on the edge of their seats — in the best way possible. By controlling the level of tension and stress in the game, the Intensity Director creates a terrifying environment and experience unique to each player, even when simply returning to a previously visited area.

Dead Space will be released on January 27th.
