343 Industries reveals its Halo: Infinite roadmap

The folks at 343 Industries have shared and clarified their plans for future Halo: Infinite content, via a new roadmap.

Infinite’s winter season/update will begin on November 8th, and will run through March 7th. It will introduce the much anticipated Forge beta, online campaign co-op, mission replay, new maps (Detachment & Argyle) and a free 30 tier battle pass. Well, those are the highlights. Players can also expect a new match XP beta, a December (Winter Contingency II) event, a January (Joint Fire) event, quality of life improvements and a new mode called Convert One Flag.

Plans for local campaign co-op have been cancelled.

“In order to improve and accelerate ongoing live service development, and to better address player feedback and quality of life updates, we have reallocated studio resources and are no longer working on local campaign split-screen co-op,” 343 Industries explained.

The aforementioned Convert One Flag mode will feature asymmetrical load outs, and will task two different teams with competing to capture or hold a single flag.

Then, on March 7th, Season 3 of Halo: Infinite will begin. It will run until June 27th, and will feature:

  • New maps: Arena and Big Team Battle
