Shatter — “the critically-acclaimed game that reimagined the brick-breaking genre” — will bust its way onto current and next-gen consoles, as well as PC, in the not too distant future. At that time, it will be known as Shatter: Remastered Deluxe.
Developed by PikPok, Shatter: Remastered Deluxe promises 71 levels of science-fiction inspired brick breaking, with both 4K and 120 frames-per-second presentation. The team behind this update has also been working on new 5.1 mixes of the game’s music, along with local multiplayer and additional game modes.
“When we launched the original Shatter in 2009, we were blown away by the critical acclaim and success, and the industry recognition and awards were confirmation we had succeeded in our goal of reinventing the brick-breaking genre,” said Mario Wynands, CEO, PikPok. “As a recognized ‘modern retro’ classic, we are excited to now bring Shatter Remastered Deluxe to a contemporary audience taking advantage of all the capabilities of the consoles of today, including stunning 4k resolution, enhanced FX, and a 5.1 surround sound remastered soundtrack.”
Shatter: Remastered Deluxe will bash its way onto PC, Mac, PlayStation 4/5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S and Switch in late 2022. When it does, you’ll be able to pick it up for $9.99 USD.
