Check out this new trailer for Alfred Hitchcock – Vertigo

If you’ve been hoping to get a look at Microids’ upcoming game, Alfred Hitchcock – Vertigo, then you’re in luck. Earlier today the publisher released what is a lengthy and intriguing narrative video, which is chock full of in-game footage.

You can see it, as well as a plot synopsis, below:

Ed Miller, a writer, came out unscathed from his car crash down into Brody Canyon, California. Even though no one was found inside the car wreckage, Ed insists that he was traveling with his wife and daughter. Traumatized by the event, he begins to suffer from severe vertigo. As he starts therapy, he will try to uncover what really happened on that tragic day.

Prepare yourself for a most disturbing investigation inside the human mind: truth is sometimes worse than madness.

As you’ve surely surmised already, this game was inspired by Alfred Hitchock’s iconic film of the same name, which many consider to be his best. We disagree, though, and feel that honour should go to Rear Window.

In-development at Pendulo Studios (Runaway, Yesterday: Origins), Alfred Hitchcock – Vertigo will launch on PC on December 16th. Xbox One, Xbox Series-era, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5 and Switch versions are planned for 2022.

You can now pre-order the PC Digital Deluxe Edition, which will include:

  • A digital artbook
  • The game’s original soundtrack
  • The Steam avatars of Ed, Julia and Nick
  • Wallpapers
  • In-game filters
