Forza Horizon 5 brings open world racing to Mexico

As we had hoped, Playground Games made a notable appearance at today’s Xbox and Bethesda Games Showcase, and shared the title many of us are pining for. That is, Forza Horizon 5, which will take the series to the deserts, villages, cities, rainforests and Mayan architecture of Mexico.

Thanks to the power of the new Xbox Series consoles, the developers have promised their biggest and fastest racing game yet, which will take full advantage of added multiplayer capabilities including Forza Link. To say that it’s a social experience would be an understatement. Hell, it even has multiplayer minigames including vehicular bowling and pinata destroying.

The Mexico that is featured in Forza Horizon 5 is said to be faithful and honest, and even features murals by known artists. Its geometry was also designed with the help of photo telemetry software, which was highlighted during a scene featuring a real world volcano. That, plus dynamic lighting that changes with each frame.

Forza Horizon 5 will continue what is arguably the best racing series of all-time, when it releases onto Xbox Series X|S, Game Pass and Windows PC on November 9th. To say that we can’t wait would be severely understating our excitement.
