Although games like Horizon: Forbidden West, Resident Evil: Village, Marvel’s Spider-Man: Miles Morales and Gran Turismo 7 stole the show during Sony’s PlayStation 5 reveal event, another one stood out because of its unique premise and art style. That title was Goodbye Volcano High.
Developed by Ko_op, Goodbye Volcano High is a hand drawn game about sad teenage dinosaurs, which the creators describe as being a “cinematic narrative adventure.”
“Fang is a typical 18-year-old dinosaur: they’re more concerned about their band going viral than they are about what happens after graduation. But when graduation is upstaged by terrible news, everything changes. Will they find time to figure themselves out? Can they balance navigating a changing world with a budding romance? During hard times, what do we owe each other? *Goodbye Volcano High* is a branching narrative adventure about the end of an era… and the start of a love story.”
Goodbye Volcano High is expected to release onto PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5 and PC (via Steam) in 2021.
