EA PLAY returning to Los Angeles in June alongside E3 2018

Electronic Arts is returning to the Hollywood Palladium in Los Angeles from June 9th – 11th, alongside E3 2018.

The company’s event, dubbed EA PLAY, is not officially affiliated with E3, which officially begins on June 12th and runs through the 14th.

EA is promising three days of “fun experiences and thousands of players,” including EA brands, more hands-on stations and more entertainment than ever before,” the company said in a press release. They’re also planning an overhaul to their website, EA.com, to “deliver breaking news, behind-the-scenes stories, and live content to take players deep inside the games.”

Players can expect to be the first to play the next entry in the Battlefield franchise, a slew of upcoming EA Sports titles, as well as the first proper look at BioWare’s Anthem, revealed at Microsoft’s press conference at E3 2017.

Following in the footsteps of years past, EA Play means that the publisher will not have an official booth presence at E3 proper, as revealed by the preliminary floor plans for the expo floor that have been released.

Tickets will be released this Spring and will be free for those interested. EA is implementing a “new ticketing system” though it is unclear what this entails or how it will help gamers get into their event. The company is promising additional details over the coming weeks and months.

EA PLAY and E3 2018 are now less than four months away!
