One of this generation’s best games will soon receive a physical release. That is, Annapurna Interactive’s What Remains of Edith Finch — a stellar and endearing ‘walking simulator’ that explores a colourful family’s incredibly unique past and does so with panache.
The physical version of What Remains of Edith Finch is set to drop in early January, and is currently available for pre-order through iam8bit. The release will feature region free compatibility, alongside a premium reversible cover insert, and will cost $29.99 USD. It will only be available on PS4, though, which is too bad for those who’d prefer an Xbox One version.
Later in 2018, the game’s haunting soundtrack (which was composed by Jeff Russo of TV’s Fargo, Legion and The Night Of fame) will also be released for sale. This will be done through a brown smoke vinyl record, which will feature artwork by Giant Sparrow’s 2D artist, Holly Rothrock.
Like the game disc, the single LP is currently up for pre-order. Its price is slightly lower, though, at $28 USD.
