With Forza Motorsport 7 primed to release on Xbox One and Windows 10 PC’s later this year, and Gran Turismo Sport following on PlayStation 4 soon afterward, competing hybrid platform, Nintendo Switch has found itself without a car sim to call its own. Fortunately, that will soon change, as publisher, Microids and developer, Eden Games will be bringing hit mobile racer, Gear.Club to Nintendo Switch later this year, as ‘Gear.Club Unlimited‘. The game will be sold both physically at retail, and digitally via the Switch eShop.
Gear.Club Unlimited will feature sixteen playable vehicles, from real-world car brands such as Chevrolet, Bugatti and Dodge. The game promises a realistic car simulation experience through breathtaking environments, and while its package may seem conservative compared to the likes of Forza and Gran Turismo, Gear.Club Unlimited will nonetheless compensate with its portability, lower price point and ease of play. The original iOS and Android build of Gear.Club was free-to-play with a microtransaction-based economy, though the Nintendo Switch version will of course command a price tag, and presumably be re-balanced for a console, possibly ditching the microtransactions from the original mobile release.
