EA Access subscribers are in for a treat today, as Battlefield 1 has officially been added to the service’s vault. As such, those who didn’t purchase the game can now download it for free and join its twenty-one million other players online. Well, the Xbox One portion, at least.
A visceral and engaging take on the First World War, Battlefield 1 is one of the most popular multiplayer games out there. So, if you like first-person shooting, driveable vehicles and large, destructible maps, then you’re in luck. Then again, it doesn’t hurt to download it and give it a try, especially since it’s now free to play for anyone with an EA Access subscription.
As those who play the game will know, the timing of this addition was purposefully planned, because Battlefield 1‘s “In the Name of the Tsar” expansion is set to release in September. In doing so, it will bolster the game by adding the Russian Women of Death battalion to its ranks.
You can subscribe to EA Access for $4.99 per month, or for $29.99/year.
