Like DOOM and Fallout 4 before it, Bethesda’s The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim is making the transition into virtual reality. Now, fans of the series will be able to look forward to exploring the game’s vast and varied world in a new dimension, all while wearing their expensive VR goggles.
What’s important to note here is that, unlike the other two games, Skyrim VR may well be exclusive to Sony’s PlayStation VR. We say that because it was revealed during Sony’s showcase, instead of last night’s Bethesdaland presentation. Then again, we could be wrong, because that doesn’t exactly guarantee exclusivity of any sort, even if it hints at it.
Perhaps it’s early, but The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim VR isn’t as much of a looker as one would hope. Sure, it looks alright, but some of its character models, textures and animations leave something to be desired. Hopefully these drawbacks will be addressed during development, and will end up being positives instead of negatives once this thing hits store shelves.
Stay tuned for more information.
