At the Ubisoft E3 2014 Media Briefing, the company showed off pre-alpha gameplay footage of a brand new entry in the Rainbow Six series, this one titled Siege.
It looks like the game is taking on a more civilian-based story, much like the Rainbow Six Patriots footage we saw a few years back.
The game looks very crude at the moment, but looks to incorporate some beautiful new physics into the classic squad action we all know and love from the team. The portion of the game we saw (posted below) was captured from a multiplayer match, and the team is obviously well-trained and knows what they’re doing.
Regardless, the title looks like it plays beautifully and we can’t wait to get our hands on it.
Due out in 2015, being in pre-Alpha still worries us, though it might only be the multiplayer that is still in that stage, or the footage could have been captured a while ago.
With Ubisoft’s history of announcing titles and having four to five year development cycles, you’d think we’d be worried. But with a string of remarkably successful and astoundingly fun games like Splinter Cell: Conviction and Blacklist, Watch_Dogs, and pretty much every Assassin’s Creed game ever, we’ll let the team take its time.
