This afternoon, Activision invited fans of the series to watch Call of Duty: NEXT — a digital stream where they shared details regarding the future of the series. Of course, the immediate future is the upcoming release of Call of Duty: Black Ops 6, which was obviously the focus of today’s event.
The team behind Black Ops 6 shared details about:
Global Systems:
- Omnimovement
- Gunsmith changes
- Global weapon builds
- Classic prestige
- Mastery camos
These are applicable to all game modes, including Zombies and Warzone.
Multiplayer:
- Detailed the 16 maps available at launch
- Talked about the 8 maps that will be part of the beta on August 30th
- Deep dives into modes, weapons, load outs, Operators, gameplay features and enhancements
Zombies:
- Detailed the round based gameplay
- Talked about the new Gravity Falls map, augments, wonder weapons, GobbleGums and more.
Warzone:
- Area 99 Resurgence map coming to Season One
- New gameplay innovations
- Mastery Camos
Beta:
- It will offer exclusive rewards, including two Operator skins
