THQ Nordic Showcase 2024 recap

THQ Nordic held its annual digital showcase yesterday, in lieu of a physical event like E3. If you missed it, here’s a recap of what they announced and shared.

The Eternal Life of Goldman:

This is a new IP, and an all new adventure platformer with a 2D design. It’s fable driven, with hand-crafted animations.

The game looks pretty, fast-paced and challenging.

Disney Epic Mickey Rebrushed:

The fact that the original Epic Mickey game is being redone isn’t new news. However, we received a new look at the updated former Wii exclusive.

WRECKFEST 2:

One of the better demolition racing games is receiving a sequel, which will allow you to build the car of your dreams and then destroy it.

Titan Quest 2:

The anticipated ARPG received a new trailer, which showcases new abilities.

Gothic Remake:

A new look at the remake of this RPG classic is more reminiscent of a developer update than an actual trailer. It gives interested parties a look at the world of Akimia, and introduces us to important characters.

Way of the Hunter:

The game’s Linktukoto Reserve DLC not a release date. Surprise! It released yesterday.

Tarsier Studios:

The folks behind the rather great Little Nightmares games have something else up their sleeves, and it’s also pretty creepy.

As the giant pig, whose intestines are coming out, says: “They’re coming.” A worldwide reveal will occur on August 20th, so maybe we’ll find out who then.

Space for Sale:

Venture out into the solar system and explore alone or with a friend. This one involves crafting and building.

It’s out in Early Access now.

Darksiders:

A new Darksiders game was teased. In the trailer, the Charred Council awaken and utter the name ‘Horseman.’ The tagline says to “Ride again.”

Here’s hoping this one will be more like the first two games than the last two. Hopefully it’s most similar to the original game, which was the best one.

Sadly, Kingdoms of Amalur 2 was not announced.
