When MLB: The Show 23 reports this spring, it will do so carrying a new mode on its roster: Storylines.
Read on for more details:
Storylines is a new game experience celebrating the Negro Leagues and was created in partnership with the Negro Leagues Baseball Museum. The leagues represent an important part of baseball history, whose iconic figures are not nearly as well-known as other baseball players in the era. The San Diego Studio team plans to use MLB The Show as a gateway to expose new generations of baseball fans to these figures and their stories of triumph over adversity.
The new Storylines mode will focus on particular players, where users will experience an entertaining narrative journey through short informational videos, followed by gameplay reflecting important moments in each player’s career. The Season 1 roster for MLB The Show 23 will include Leroy “Satchel” Paige, Jackie Robinson, Andrew “Rube” Foster, Hilton Smith, Hank Thompson, John Donaldson, Martin Dihigo, and John Jordan “Buck” O’Neil.
MLB: The Show 23 is scheduled to start on March 28th.
