In a surprise announcement, Microsoft has revealed that Ron Gilbert’s anticipated Return to Monkey Island is releasing on Xbox Series consoles. In fact, it’s actually coming to Game Pass as part of November’s roster. Xbox One users will unfortunately be left out, though, as the game isn’t being made available to last-gen hardware.
The long-awaited adventure game originally released onto Nintendo Switch and PC back in September, and hadn’t been confirmed for any other platforms. As such, this is a nice surprise for fans of the genre.
