Now that we’ve gotten the biggest news from today’s Nintendo Direct out of the way, let’s do a quick recap of what else was announced.
- Kirby’s Return to Dreamland Deluxe will bring a Wii classic to Switch. The 2.5D side-scroller will come to the console bearing 4 player local co-op.
- Octopath Traveler 2 has been announced. It will feature new heroes and a new storyline. Expect this one on February 24, 2023, on PC, PS4, PS5 and Switch.
- Goldeneye 007 (with online play), Mario Party, 1080 Snowboarding, Pokémon Stadium and Pokémon Stadium 2 lead the charge as N64 classics heading to Switch
- Crisis Core: Final Fantasy VII Reunion will be released on December 13th
- Mario Kart 8 Deluxe DLC: Wave 3 will include Peach Tour from Mario Kart DS and Merry Mountain from Mario Kart Tour
- Nintendo Switch Sports will get its promised (free) golf mode this holiday
- Mario Strikers: Battle League will get its second free update later this month, adding Pauline and Diddy Kong as well as a new stadium, additional gear and more,
- Xenoblade Chronicles 3 will add a new mechanical hero by way of DLC
- Resident Evil Village Cloud will let Switch owners play the much talked about horror title
- Fatal Frame: Mask of the Lunar Eclipse is finally coming west in early 2023
- Final Fantasy Theatrhythm: Final Bar is a celebration of the franchise and its music, and will be released next year
- Tunic comes to Switch on September 27th
- It Takes Two is coming to Switch on November 4th, and will be playable on one console or two consoles
- Martial arts hit, Sifu, is coming to Switch on November 8th
- Tales of Symphonia Remastered is scheduled for 2023
- SpongeBob SquarePants: The Cosmic Shake is coming to Switch in 2023
- Choose whether to bring gear, grub or fun to a desert island, when Splatoon 3’s first Splatfest occurs from September 23-25
