Xbox boss, Phil Spencer, has confirmed that some of Activision-Blizzard’s biggest series will, in fact, come to Xbox Game Pass. This includes, at the very least, Diablo, Overwatch and Call of Duty.
“Game Pass empowers developers to bring more games to more players, not fewer,” Spencer wrote in a statement on the company’s Activision Blizzard deal. “We intend to make Activision Blizzard’s much-loved library of games – including Overwatch, Diablo and Call of Duty – available in Game Pass and to grow those gaming communities.”
It’s been said (online) that new releases from these series will be added at launch, but we haven’t found confirmation of this. Thus, we will consider it rumour for now.
We will share more when we know more. For now, let’s just assume that this will happen when the deal is finalized and its proverbial dust settles.
