Indie fighter, Them’s Fightin’ Herds, to beat up consoles this fall

A hit independent fighting game which has a character roster full of caricatured barnyard animals will soon be playable on consoles. That is: Them’s Fightin’ Herds from Modus Games, Mane6 and Maximum Games.

Them’s Fightin’ Herds, currently available on Steam, is a four-button, 2D fighting game featuring hooved characters designed by Lauren Faust (producer and developer for My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic; creator, director and developer for Super Best Friends Forever). Tussle in Arcade and Local Versus modes, practice in Tutorial and Training modes, then dive into the game’s many online matchmaking features (with GGPO rollback netcode) to test yourself against players from around the world. Or, explore an episodic Story Mode that blends top-down adventure with fighting game combat challenges.

Xbox, PlayStation and Switch users will be able to battle it out in Them’s Fightin’ Herds beginning on October 18th. Those with interest can pre-order the game now, through Maximum Games’ store, where they’ll find a Deluxe Edition which includes the title’s ‘Season 1 Pass.’ It’ll provide access to four additional playable characters, four unique stages, four exclusive Pixel Lobby accessories and a ‘gorgeous’ new palette pack for each character,
