Flintlock: The Siege of Dawn is a game about killing gods

Magic, Spider-Man-esque teleportation and muskets mix in A44’s Flintlock: The Siege of Dawn.

Showcased during Microsoft and Bethesda’s livestream, Flintlock is a game about a woman who aspires to kill the gods who’ve brought pestilence to her world. To do so, she will have to utilize her weapons (hatchets and a musket), her teleportation abilities and magic.

Like A44’s last game —- Ashen —- Flintlock looks to be a Soulslike experience. This is great news for fans of that sub-genre, but not so great for those of us who would prefer a more traditional action RPG.

Flintlock: The Siege of Dawn is in development for Xbox and PlayStation consoles, as well as PC. It’s expected to release in 2023, and will be a day one Game Pass title.
