Big news has arrived from EA’s NHL camp, as those behind NHL 22 have confirmed a wealth of new content. Not just everyday things, like new modes or cards, either.
Today’s announcement promises that IIHF jerseys, rosters and gameplay will make its way into the hockey sim. By that we mean the upcoming World Juniors tournament, men’s national team, men’s World Championship and also women’s hockey players/items. Some of this content, like the World Juniors, will be added in today, while other stuff will not appear until 2022.
“The introduction of women’s national teams to NHL 22 as part of the upcoming IIHF content will be an important moment for the franchise in its continued effort to reflect the diversity of the hockey community,” said Sean Ramjagsingh, VP and GM, EA SPORTS. “We are proud to feature playable women’s teams for the first time in NHL 22, alongside the rising stars on the World Juniors teams.”
NHL 22 has also added custom roster sharing and HUT migration, allowing friends to share created rosters and those who played on previous gen consoles to migrate their Hockey Ultimate Team progress forward.
