If you were hoping to upgrade your copy of Grand Theft Auto V to a next-gen version this November, sorry to be the bearer of bad news. It’s been confirmed that, instead of releasing it this year, Rockstar has chosen to delay the Xbox Series and PlayStation 5 versions of the game until early 2022.
Hopefully a new, and rather nice looking trailer will make this news a bit easier to take. Then again, it’s not like Grand Theft Auto V hasn’t already been released for two different generation of consoles.
Grand Theft Auto V will now launch for Xbox Series X|S and PS5 in March. It may be the only GTA we’ll have for some time, too, if the rumours about Grand Theft Auto 6 not releasing until 2025 are true.
