With its newest trailer, the folks behind WRC 10 have paid homage to one of the sport’s most important players: Colin McRae. He of the original Colin McRae’s DiRT, which blew us away on the Xbox 360.
Colin McRae sadly passed away back in 2007, in a helicopter crash that occurred close to his home in England. Still, despite his tragic death, his legend carries on to this day and always will. That’s why the developers of WRC 10 chose to highlight his iconic Subaru Impreza WRC and the 1997 Rallye Sanremo in the game’s latest video. That particular event marked one of the superstar’s most impressive wins, as he came from behind to take the podium.
The aforementioned event will be part of the game, but only for those who end up pre-ordering its standard or deluxe editions. Be warned.
With more than 22 events, WRC 10 pays homage to the careers of a wide range of rally stars such as Sébastien Loeb, Sébastien Ogier, Carlos Sainz, Peter Solberg, Tommi Mäkinen, Colin McRae, Ari Vatanen, Marcus Grönholm, Walter Röhrl… and many more!
WRC 10 will release onto Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and PC on September 7th. That is, if you happen to be in North America. European gamers will get it on the 2nd.
*A Nintendo Switch version will follow at a later time.
