One of the games featured during today’s PlayStation State of Play presentation was Crash Bandicoot 4: It’s About Time, with the reason being that Sony’s early mascot is heading to next-gen consoles. You probably already knew that, though.
Today’s update included the release of a beautiful new trailer, which allows the colourful (and incredibly challenging) platformer to shine, thanks to upgraded visuals and 4K resolution. It’s also been said that this new version of the game will feature faster load times and 3D audio, thanks to the PlayStation 5’s improved capabilities.
The game will also feature haptic feedback, plus optional gameplay objectives and boss battles that can only be accessed through PlayStation activity cards.
It’s important to note that those who upgrade to the PlayStation 5 version of Crash Bandicoot 4: It’s About Time will be able to port their save progress from one to the other. That said, it hasn’t been made clear whether this upgrade will be free, or whether it will cost money.
