Microsoft has revealed the four games that Xbox Live Gold subscribers will be able to download — at no cost whatsoever — once the calendar turns a page and October begins. Said Games With Gold offering list is fittingly scary, with all four games falling into horror, or at least Halloween-based, genres.
First up is Slayaway Camp: Butcher’s Cut, the killer puzzle game where you control a psychotic slasher who’s hellbent on revenge. It will become free on the first of the month, and will be joined by Xbox Original Sphinx and the Cursed Mummy.
Then, on the sixteenth of October, Maid of Sker and Costume Quest 2 will take their places. One offers a quiet, stealth-based survival horror experience, while the other is colourful and action-packed despite being turn-based. Together, they’ll offer a nice mix of spooky gameplay.
