Resident Evil: Village was arguably the highlight of Sony’s PlayStation 5 presentation, thanks to its chilling and surreal second trailer. We just watched it ourselves, and still have chills from what we saw.
Things begin with Chris being captured and knocked out by a hustling SWAT team, before they get really weird. The rest of the trailer mixes gameplay, creepy cutscene snippets, animated fairytale content and a nightmarish bedtime story. All of that is then complemented with some creepy cultists, beautiful shots of the woods and Village in which this game will take place, and more. To say that it’s memorable and effective would be understating things.
The sad thing is that we’ll have to wait until 2021 before we’ll be able to get our hands on Resident Evil: Village, aka. Resident Evil VIII. After this, that wait has become even more difficult.
