There’s been lots of talk about Square Enix’s unannounced Kingdom Hearts game. Now, thanks to this digital mini-E3 we’re having, we can tell you what it is.
This previously unknown title is called Kingdom Hearts: Melody of Memory, and it’s a rhythm game. One in which Sora, Donald, Goofy and other guest starring Disney characters must fight enemies to the beat of music. Some of these levels will showcase events from previous games, while others will take the form of rhythm based boss battles.
Here’s a translation from the teaser website, thanks to Gematsu:
“Many characters from the Kingdom Hearts series appear as playable characters!
Depending on the stage, Disney characters will appear as guests and lend you their strength. The game features a massive catalog of over 140 songs, including music from the Kingdom Hearts series, Disney, and more. Enjoy rhythm-based action through unforgettable music.
There are four play modes including online battles.”
Kingdom Hearts: Melody of Memory will release onto Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and Switch sometime this year.
