When Microsoft revealed its next console at last week’s Game Awards, much was made of its name: the Xbox Series X. Some liked the new moniker, while others were vocally unsure of it. Now, we’ve learned that the controversial title only applies to one specific model.
Today, Microsoft clarified its plans to simply call its new console the ‘Xbox.’ The Xbox Series X, meanwhile, will denote its first edition, much like the Xbox One X Scorpio Edition. That’s good to hear, and will surely lessen some of the confusion between it and the Xbox One X.
