Although an all new Need for Speed game had been all but confirmed during EA’s last earnings call to investors, the title itself wasn’t announced until just last week. Today, we have for you the first gameplay trailer from the newly-revealed Need for Speed: Heat, which offers high stakes footage full of dangerous street racing and aggressive cop chases.
Need for Speed: Heat takes its name from its Miami setting, but it also wouldn’t be surprising if the story also has something to do with police or police corruption given the moniker. This iteration also looks to offer most of the same styles of gameplay that we’ve become accustomed to, like high-speed racing, full car customization and cops. The good news, though, is that there won’t be any loot boxes, which almost ruined Need for Speed: Payback when it released just a couple of years ago.
Expect to be able to race through a neon lit city on November 8th, as that’s when Need for Speed: Heat is set for release.
