Apex Legends‘ second season will begin on July 2nd, as revealed during today’s EA Play livestream. Also revealed then was the new season’s name, which is, fittingly, ‘Battle Charge.’
Battle Charge will introduce a new, female character named Watts, as well as the L-Star light machine gun from Titanfall 2. Said gun’s power will be negated by the fact that it will only appear in care packages.
Also part of Apex Legends: Season 2 is ranked gameplay, which will feature ranked tiers and skill-based matchmaking. That, as well as the optional Season 2 Battle Pass and its skins and materials.
As for the aforementioned new character, Watts: She will be a defensive hero, will be able to drop electric fences to halt enemy progress and apparently has a deep history with the arena and its foundation.
