In what appears to be an error from the Ubisoft Store in Germany, an alleged leak for Ubisoft’s latest Ghost Recon title has been announced, revealing the game to be called Ghost Recon: Breakpoint.
The leak comes in the form of a phone screenshot posted to Reddit, a not completely uncommon form for leaks to get out there. It includes the words “jetzt vorbestellen auf” which means “pre-order now” indicating we can likely expect pre-orders to go live just as the game is announced at tomorrow’s reveal trailer stream.
The image shows something called the Wolves Collector’s Edition, which includes a figure, and presumably the game in question. It is expected to release on all major platforms as the previous entry in the series, Wildlands, did when it launched in 2017.
Why Ubisoft is choosing to reveal their latest entry in the Ghost Recon franchise when their E3 presentation is less than five weeks away is unknown, however it may be in order to strengthen awareness of the brand and build some additional hype before they unveil actual gameplay at the June event.
The official unveil of the new Ghost Recon game will happen on May 9 at 11:30AM PST (2:30PM EST), and we’ll have all the official information right here.
Calling all Ghosts.
