Earlier today, Electronic Arts held its annual earnings call with investors, during which the company announced its intentions to bring a few major franchises back within the next fiscal year.
During the call, it was confirmed that new entries in the Need for Speed and Plants vs. Zombies series are in the works, with both expected to release “later this year.” Furthermore, EA also announced that it has another ‘premium’ Titanfall game in development, which will bring a ‘twist’ to the franchise.
In closing, EA also stated that while some of its properties under-performed last year, it expects Anthem to sell between five and six million copies before March 31, 2019. That, as well as the fact that 47% of its console sales have been digital.
