Through press release means, Ubisoft has announced its intention to bring both demolition derbies and PVP action to The Crew 2. Both things will be incorporated into the open world racing game early next month, via its second free update of note.
As part of the demolition discipline, players can look forward to two brand new arenas (the Bonneville Salt Flat, which has spring controlled boxing gloves and other hazards, and the Tucson aircraft cemetery, where players can knock each other off of a hill), and four new cars. Said vehicles will be designed specifically for the rough and violent action that demolition derbies are known for, and will help folks test their mettle as they compete for top three placements.
To those who still play The Crew 2 often, and those who’ve been looking for a reason to return to it, the addition of PVP is probably going to be the most exciting thing about this update. After all, it will allow up to eight players to compete against each other in different disciplines, across a constantly renewed set of events.
In addition to all of the above, this update will also introduce two new vehicles, the Audi RS3 LMS – 2017 and the Aeroboat – VS12 – 2018. Those, plus Drift, Alpha Grand Prix and Rally Cross challenges, as well as additional skills and in-game activities.
The Crew 2 will receive its demolition update on December 5th.
