Microsoft has revealed the four games that Xbox Live Gold subscribers will receive in December, as part of its Games With Gold promotion, and to call it and eclectic list would be correct. In fact, this coming month’s offerings will usher in something new, that being the first Xbox Original game.
On the Xbox One side of things, gamers can look forward to the shape-based puzzler, Q.U.B.E. 2 (December 1-31), plus culturally inspired Never Alone (December 16-January 15). If you’ve never played the latter game, you owe it to yourself to do so, because it’s a very interesting and enjoyable experience that everyone should have at least once. Reason being is that the game is based around Inuit folklore, and features documentary-style interviews that discuss everything that inspired it.
It truly is a treat to experience, offering some great insight into another culture, in addition to quality platforming and puzzling.
Meanwhile, Xbox 360 gamers (and fans of backwards compatibility) can look forward to Bioware’s Dragon Age II (December 1-15) and Games With Gold’s first Xbox Original, Mercenaries: Playground of Destruction (December 16-31). Both are notable titles from days passed, as well.
