Lara Croft’s next outing will be her most realistic yet, especially on PC. That’s because, as Square Enix revealed this morning, Shadow of the Tomb Raider is being developed on NVIDIA’s RTX platform. Thus, it will be able to produce some pretty impressive visuals, which will include real-time ray tracing.
In addition to real-time ray traced shadows, the game will feature HBAO+ proven ambient occlusion, high quality anti-aliasing, enhanced tesselation, realistic shadow falloff, HDR, enhanced surface definition and 4K resolution. You can see it all in action in Shadow of the Tomb Raider‘s incredible-looking Gamescom trailer.
Shadow of the Tomb Raider is set to launch on September 14th.
