Tom Clancy’s The Division 2 continues its strong E3 presence at Ubisoft’s showcase

After being given time in the spotlight at Microsoft’s presser, Tom Clancy’s The Division 2 took centre stage at Ubisoft’s own showcase. In doing so, we got to see a nice-looking, but disturbing cinematic video, before hearing details about the game.

After a new strain of smallpox was spread around the United States on dollar bills, the world has been plunged into chaos. People are living in seclusion, trust is at a bare minimum and the streets are a dangerous place. This is the Washington, D.C. that we’ll be jumping into, and it’s said to be history’s defining moment where “hope for the future begins anew.”

It was said that, after they complete the main campaign, players will be asked to specialize their skills, classes and weaponry. At this point, they’ll be able to tackle endgame content with up to 8 total players. This will include raids, which are new to The Division 2.

Before things concluded with another trailer, three pieces of major downloadable content were promised for year one. Taking the form of episodes with numerical names, they’re all said to be free of charge.
