After celebrating the fact that the UEFA Champions League will be part of FIFA 19, EA Sports switched gears to talk about last fall’s iteration, FIFA 18. They did so by moving from one trophy — the aforementioned European Champions’ Cup — to another, the World Cup. What followed was an announcement confirming that this summer’s World Cup tournament is coming to FIFA 18, allowing all footie fans to represent their countries (even those that didn’t actually qualify in real life) within the digitized and interactive confines of the sport’s biggest stage.
Electronic Arts also revealed that, for the time being FIFA 18 and its World Cup content are free to download and play. This is thanks to a free trial, which will be available for a limited amount of time.
