Sony announces E3 2018 plans

Following suit with Ubisoft, Microsoft, and Nintendo, Sony has announced its plans for E3 in Los Angeles in just a few short weeks.

Beginning Monday, June 11th at 6:00 p.m. Pacific, Sony will preview its latest titles from Los Angeles. While we don’t know the full roster of the show this year, there were a few titles mentioned in the PlayStation.Blog post announcing the company’s E3 plans. Expect to see massive titles Death Stranding (Kojima Productions), Ghost of Tsushima (Sucker Punch), Marvel’s Spider-Man (Insomniac Games), and The Last of Us Part II (Naughty Dog) on stage at Sony’s presentation.

We also know what won’t be at the show: hardware. Shawn Layden, Charmain of SIE Worldwide Studios, has said that new hardware won’t play into the show this year, though that does leave open the possibility for new hardware bundles or custom colours to be announced for existing PlayStation 4 units.

The show is also said to include announcements from first-party and third-party studios alike, as well as a swath of indie games. The show will be broadcast on live.playstation.com as well as on Twitch, YouTube, and Facebook. We presume there will also be an easy way to watch it via a PlayStation console as well.

All will be told on June 11th at at 6:00 p.m. Stay tuned!
