Although Kratos won’t begin his first PS4-exclusive journey until April 20th, Sony’s imposed review embargo for the upcoming God of War game has just come to an end. As such, you’re likely to see a decent amount of opinion based articles regarding the much-anticipated title.
Our review is coming, and though we had hoped to publish something this morning, we’ve decided that we’d like to spend more time with the game before we do so. It’s all in the name of a more thorough and better prepared review, because while we’ve spent quite a few hours with this thing, we’ve yet to finish it, and keep finding more and more content as the campaign continues to open up. Yes, even after between 15 and 20 hours, things are still opening up and we’ve yet to discover everything that this title has to offer.
A God of War game, no less!
God of War never used to be known for its length, but that’s about to change. This new take on the series isn’t only beautiful and action-packed, it’s massive, too. Hours have been lost to exploring the game world, completing side quests (aka. favours) and leveling up Kratos and his boy.
We’ve been trying to complete as thorough a play through as possible, and want to see the credits roll on God of War before writing a full review, because we value what we put out there for you, our valued readers. We apologize for the inconvenience, and hope that you’ll check back soon for our thorough and detailed impressions, and it won’t be too long before we’ll be ready to share them. It’s starting to feel like the end is near, but it’s hard to tell with such a big game. One thing we can tell you, though, is that the score will be very positive!
