Mere hours remain before Far Cry 5 will both unlock and hit store shelves, ushering players into a messed up version of backwoods Montana. As such, Ubisoft has taken to the Internet with the open world shooter’s impressive launch trailer.
This most recent video does what you’d expect, by reintroducing the major players with a keen focus on the four heads of the Project at Eden’s Gate cult. Each of the three heralds (Jacob, John and Faith) receive brief introductions and overviews regarding their tactics, followers and armies, before the Father, Joseph Seed, becomes the focus. Then, once all of that has been dealt with, some bullet-filled gameplay closes things out.
Far Cry 5 will be released tomorrow, for Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and PC. We’ve put more than twenty hours into it thus far, but want to wait until we’ve finished the campaign and given the multiplayer a good go before publishing our review.
