Those who’ve been itching for more Assassin’s Creed: Origins story content will be in luck come January 23rd, when the game receives its first piece of major DLC. Dubbed ‘The Hidden Ones,’ this anticipated add-on will not only bolster the title’s story, but will also increase Bayek’s level cap and introduce new items into the mix.
Set four years after Origins‘ conclusion, The Hidden Ones will task players with fighting against an occupying Roman force. This will be done in a new region of Ancient Egypt, called the Sinai. There, players will do battle as they increase Bayek’s character level towards its new limit of forty-five, while using new, Roman themed gear.
Those who purchase and play The Hidden Ones will also have access to four new legendary weapons, multiple new varieties of standard weaponry, two additional mounts and two more levels for every piece of crafted gear.
As is always the case, this downloadable expansion will be released as part of Assassin’s Creed: Origins‘ season pass, but will also be available separately. Those who choose to buy it outside of the pass will be looking at a $12.99 price tag.
Looking into the future, fans of the game can also expect its second major add-on, “DLC 2 – The Curse of the Pharaohs,” to release on March 6th. This expansion will introduce a brand new storyline, increase the game’s level cap to 55, and come bearing a $25.99 price tag.
