Certain Xbox 360 games will receive Xbox One X enhancements; 13 original Xbox games will also soon be backwards compatible

Current-gen Xbox One games won’t be the only ones to receive Xbox One X enhancements. No, according to Microsoft, the company has put a plan in motion to upgrade and improve performance for select Xbox 360 games as well.

On launch day, Halo 3, The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion, Fallout 3 and Assassin’s Creed will all receive the upgrade treatment, allowing them to look and play better than ever before. What does this mean, exactly? Well, instead of their previous 8-bit colour depth, these games will now feature 10-bit colour depth, in addition to being able to present nine times the amount of pixels as before. Their respective frame rates will also be improved, which is intriguing.

In related news, it has also been revealed that thirteen original Xbox games are also coming to Xbox One, via backwards compatibility. Starting on October 24th, gamers will be able to download said games from the Xbox Store.
