Rockstar isn’t finished with L.A. Noire, but it’s not sequel news that we come bearing today. No, what we’ve just learned is that the developer is working on upgraded and even altered versions of the game, which will release onto four different platforms in mid-November.
For starters, there’s the expected PlayStation 4 and Xbox One versions, which will release in upgraded form. With them, players can expect things like enhanced lighting and clouds, new cinematic camera angles, high resolution textures and general 1080p presentation.
Then, there’s the Nintendo Switch release and its specific features. Said list includes “a Joy-Con mode with gyroscopic, gesture-based controls, HD rumble and new wide and over-the-shoulder camera angles, plus contextual touch screen controls for portable detective work.” Like the ones above, it will feature the full game and all of its DLC.
Last up is L.A. Noire: The VR Case Files, which will be made up of seven select cases that have all been remade for play with the VR-based HTC Vive.
Alas, this means it’s time to get out your detective hat, dust it off and make sure it’s ready for L.A. Noire‘s return on November 14th.
