Capcom still hasn’t announced a proper new Mega Man game for the series’ 30th anniversary being observed this year, but it will at least be taking another trip to the Blue Bomber’s past! After a leak from a Korean ratings board seemingly outed the existence of the game a short while ago, Capcom has officially announced Mega Man Legacy Collection 2 today, which will port the series’ remaining classic numbered entries to current consoles and PC.
Mega Man Legacy Collection 2 will include the likes of Mega Man 7, Mega Man 8, Mega Man 9 and Mega Man 10 within its package, all of which will be ported with the same commitment to integrity as the first six classic Mega Man games that were included in the original Mega Man Legacy Collection from 2015. The follow-up compilation will also include another Challenge Mode that provides specialized Time Attack, Remix and Boss Rush challenges for its four contained games, as with its predecessor. You will also get to enjoy a new batch of Museum features, including artwork, the complete game soundtracks and more.
Mega Man Legacy Collection 2 will release at retail as well as digitally for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, and will be distributed for PC digitally via Steam. An announcement trailer also confirms that Mega Man Legacy Collection 2 will release later this Summer, specifically on August 8th.
