One of the most exciting announcements for RPG fans at last year’s PlayStation Experience keynote was definitely Ni no Kuni II: Revenant Kingdom, a full-fledged follow-up to 2013’s hit PlayStation 3 RPG, Ni no Kuni: Wrath of the White Witch. Since that announcement however, Ni no Kuni II: Revenant Kingdom has more or less gone quiet. Fortunately, the game was showcased again at this year’s PlayStation Experience keynote, and has finally received a release window. The game will be released at some point in Summer 2017.
Ni no Kuni II: Revenant Kingdom will revolve around a new protagonist, King Evan Pettiwhisker, who has his throne stolen, and must journey to reclaim it with Roland, a mysterious stranger from another world. The game appears to maintain the creature-collecting base and hybrid turn-based/real-time combat as its PlayStation 3 predecessor.
Little else is known about Ni no Kuni II: Revenant Kingdom for now, though the game will release exclusively for PlayStation 4. Thus, keep questing to Eggplante for all major news and updates on Ni no Kuni.
