Fans got their first proper look at the Crash Bandicoot remasters for PlayStation 4 that were announced at this past E3 at today’s PlayStation Experience showcase. The remasters were revealed as a PlayStation 4 trilogy that will be dubbed the ‘Crash Bandicoot: N’Sanity Trilogy‘, which will release in Summer 2017.
Crash Bandicoot: N’Sanity Trilogy is being put together in partnership between Sony and Crash Bandicoot license handlers, Activision. The collection will compile the original Crash Bandicoot, Crash Bandicoot 2: Cortex Strikes Back and Crash Bandicoot: Warped, all remade from the ground up with all-new, current-gen graphics that bring each of the three games into the modern PlayStation 4 era. All three games originally released for PlayStation in the 1990’s, and all three went on to become part of the console’s ‘Greatest Hits’ catalogue, as well as some of the best-selling games in the entire PlayStation library. Crash Bandicoot was even considered an unofficial PlayStation mascot when the brand was new, despite the license not ultimately ending up in Sony’s hands.
