In the E3 presentation hosted by Nintendo this morning, the demo of Pokémon Sun and Pokémon Moon has revealed that the effectiveness of certain attacks is shown before a move is selected.
For example, a water type move will be super effective against fire type Pokémon, and the game does a better job of letting players know whether their move will be a good choice against their opponent.
Whether or not that makes the game too easy in the short term remains to be seen, and Nintendo has been careful to stress that the game is still in development, but it is unlikely the would show a feature that will be cut later on, especially when the game is slated to come out in just five months.
