To kick off their new dedicated E3 press conference, Square Enix showed off the first live gameplay of their highly anticipated sequel, Just Cause 3 in an all-new reveal trailer, with the game first announced in an issue of Game Informer magazine towards the end of last year.
Just Cause 3 will feature an enormous selection of collectibles and challenges for protagonist, Rico Rodriguez to take on, with players’ progress tracked online. The game’s setting, the fictional Mediterranean island nation, Medici, will span a virtual 400 square kilometres, and will offer the most refined, destructive and action-packed experience that the Just Cause series has delivered yet, particularly in taking advantage of next-gen gaming technology.
Despite Square Enix endorsing and supporting the unofficial Just Cause 2 multiplayer mod for PC, Just Cause 3 will be single-player-only on all platforms, with developer, Avalanche Studios focused on making a superb open-world gameplay experience first and foremost. Fortunately, the game tracking your stats and accomplishments will create something of a distant collaborative element between peers, with players able to challenge each other to master the most obstacles across Medici.
Just Cause 3 was also given a release date of December 1st, 2015, just one week before Square Enix releases their new Hitman game. Just Cause 3 will release for PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.
