If you’re curious about the holdup with Telltale’s Tales from the Borderlands series, Telltale and Gearbox have finally confirmed that the wait is almost over for the five-episode adventure game’s second part. Tales from the Borderlands: Episode 2 – Atlas Mugged is set to launch next week.
As with Telltale’s usual schedule, the launch dates of the episode will unfold throughout the week, depending on your platform of choice. The episode will come to PC, PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 3 first, on Tuesday, March 17th. It will then expand to Xbox One and Xbox 360 the following day, on Wednesday, March 18th. Finally, the episode will land on iOS on Thursday, March 19th. It will retail for $4.99 by itself, though will be given for free to anyone who already purchased the game’s Season Pass.
There’s still no word on the planned Mac, Android or PlayStation Vita ports that Telltale is developing for Tales from the Borderlands at this point. Normally, Telltale releases Mac versions of their games concurrently with their PC counterparts, though in this case, Tales from the Borderlands only managed to launch for Windows-enabled computers so far.
The announcement of Atlas Mugged’s launch week comes with a new trailer for the game, naturally. As usual, be wary of watching it if you haven’t yet played the initial Tales from the Borderlands: Episode 1 – Zer0 Sum, as it does contain some spoilers for the first episode.
You can also get another Borderlands fix this month, since Gearbox Software is remastering Borderlands 2 and Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel!, complete with the entirety of their DLC offerings, in Borderlands: The Handsome Collection. It will release for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One a week after Atlas Mugged, on Tuesday, March 24th.
